About Me

An Illustrator Named Lydia

Home grown in a town with more deer than people, I grew up in the Albany, NY area. Ever since I can remember, art has been the focus of my interests, drawing and sewing since before I could even read, to keep my sibiling-less self, busy. Years of pediatric dental procedures, and an excellent high school biology teacher, sparked my interest in understanding the human body, leading me to study a major I barely knew existed. After years spent in the brick city tundra, I graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology, Summa Cum Laude, with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Medical Illustration. When I'm not busy inking illustrations or digital paining till my eyes go fuzzy, you can find me spending time with my cat named Toast, baking pies, or getting my craft on like a hip grandma. I am also quite fond of Wes Anderson movies, bagels, late night drives on country roads, and a hot cup of coffee first thing in the morning.
